“Who shall separate us for the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of god which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Roman 8:38-39
I wrote an entry on this and then realized I had written about it already. But then I thought “You just can’t focus on these verses too much." So, I have more to share. The Lord pointed out one very important part of this verse. In list the all encompassing things that cannot keep us from Him, He says, “nor any other created thing”. Well, that’s me. That’s you. I may walk away from Him at times but that doesn’t alter His love for me. It is always available for my comfort and complete joy. Let us cling to this promise as we continue to address doubts about ourselves and our value in Him.
