I feel a need to share my heart regarding the Coronavirus. Let’s be honest, these ARE scary times and I know that there are so many living in tremendous fear and pain and it grieves my heart. While I cannot guarantee anyone, including myself, won’t end up contracting the virus, I do want to share my hope and what can be your hope too. If we choose to, our hope can be in the Lord, that whatever happens, He is ultimately in control. We live in a sinful world that is under the control of the enemy and is responsible for many physical ailments and illnesses, but the Lord promises to make all things right in the end.
I myself will stand on Psalm 91 verses 1,2,5 and 6: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.”
Please let this fact never leave our minds: We are a world, a nation, a state, a city, a neighborhood, and a family of fellow human beings that are all experiencing the same feelings and situations, to varying degrees. We are all in this together.
Let us stand on our Rock, the Lord, and allow Him to cast out our fears.
