Great is Thy Faithfulness

Another memorization verse that really blessed me is from Lamentations 3:19-23:

“Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness. Surely my soul remembers and is bowed down within me. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness.”

Our enemy loves to make us focus on our past hurts and sins. He loves to whisper lies in our ears that we are worthless, that we can’t be redeemed, there is just too much. He wants us to lose hope so that in doing that, we take our eyes off of the truth. Who the Lord REALLY is and how He feels about us…

I looked up two definitions. The first is “loving kindness” and the definition is “tenderness and consideration toward others.”

The second definition is “compassion” and the definition is "sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others."

I would encourage you to dwell on these definitions because they are the Lord’s heart for you. I find great encouragement in clinging to the real truth that His Word holds as to His heart for us. So, no matter what the enemy may be whispering in your ear today, cling to the truth that you are loved with a tenderness and concern that surpasses all understanding!
